Auto Specialization - Brakes

The Windham School District is accepting applications for an Automotive Specialization (Brakes) Instructor at the Daniel Unit in Snyder, Texas.

Minimum Qualifications for Certified Applicants: Texas State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) teacher certification in Trade and Industrial Education with appropriate work approval -OR- a Vocational Trades and Industry with appropriate work approval.

Minimum Qualifications for Non-Certified Applicants:  A high school diploma or GED with 5 years full-time wage-earning experience within the last 8 years in the Automotive Specialization - Brakes Repair field, -OR- a Bachelor's Degree with 3 years full-time wage-earning experience within the last 8 years in the Automotive Specialization - Brakes Repair field, -AND- a deficiency plan from a college or university working towards vocational trade and industry certification. Vocational instructors shall obtain the required industry certification/license before the end of the contract year in which the teacher is first employed in order to maintain employment with the district.
